Preventive care

Regular dental exams and professional cleaning will reduce the risk of gum disease and decay. X-Rays may be taken (with our low dose, digital technology), to see in tight areas, such as between teeth and under restorations.

Our team will talk with you about preventive measures to help keep your teeth and gums healthy and strong. Regular check ups allow us to pick disease up in its early stages, meaning it can be corrected as early (and as simply) as possible. We maintain the health of the teeth and gums as well as all the supporting structures that play a role in dental health.

Gum disease and Dental hygiene

Gum disease (periodontal disease) affects the supportive structures surrounding your tooth. If left untreated, simple gum problems can progress to more severe, irreversible damage. In extreme cases, teeth may become wobbly and may need to be removed. We have a highly qualified gum disease programme that helps improve gum health and enables you to keep your teeth for life. Our Oral Health Therapist Shara Wall is trained to maintain your gums and prevent periodontal disease. We can also talk to you about the connection between gum and oral health and overall body health.
